Meet Coach Jaz

Hi, I'm Jasmine Pickett, the founder of Jazzy Fit: Youth Psychological and Athletic Development. With over 15 years of experience working with youth athletes, I have dedicated my career to helping young people navigate the mental and physical challenges of sports and fitness.

I hold a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Poly State University and a M.S. in Sports Psychology from California Southern University. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. I have always enjoyed sports and fitness and have been an athlete most of my life. I competed in gymnastics for 16 years and continued as a track and field athlete at Cal Poly earning All-American honors in the triple jump.

After facing my own challenges with injury, tearing both Achilles tendons- I personally understood the importance of mental resilience in overcoming obstacles. I use my experience to inspire the athletes I work with and help them reach their goals, whether it's bouncing back from an injury, handling performance anxiety, or simply finding joy in movement.

Fitness has always been my passion, and I continue to stay active in new ways like roller skating, hiking, dancing, and even unicycling! I enjoy incorporating creativity into my sessions and providing a supportive, fun environment where young athletes can thrive.
